In the Room
it's a good resort with good service. we've stay twice.
the spa and pool open for outside locals, some of them were very rude, talk loud and dirty while in spa.
Good quality and conveniently located near the Chantaburi city. You'll need a car, though. Great pool and good massage.
Got a twin room instead of a double room on arrival, but the beds were put together to make a double bed after calling the front desk. Overall, service could be improved a little bit.
The big swimming pool the good breakfast buffet the free shuttle to the city at any time you need
The bathroom can be restyled linen included holes in both rooms
Great, nice resort, awesome pool and gym. We actually stayed only one night as this was basically our transit location, but the resort is so good, it wouldn't hurt to stay for a few days more just to relax, do sports etc...
It's on the outskirts of the city, but they have a shuttle to bring you to the city center and back if needed.
The location was perfect for us. We were traveling from Bangkok to Koh Chang and we were looking for a place to stay to break up our drive. The Maneechan Resort was just off the main highway connecting our departure point and our destination. The room was spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of tasty food. The mirror in the bathroom was great for shaving. It was one of the best hotel mirrors that I have ever encountered. We wanted to try a local restaurant, but we didn't want to drive into a town that we weren't familiar with. The hotel's van took us to the restaurant. When we were finished eating we phoned the hotel and the van appeared a few minutes later to take us back to our room.
Checking in was a little confusing. The location of the main desk wasn't readily apparent and we needed to ask directions twice before we found it. The desk is located to the left of the main entrance, up a flight of stairs and through an unmarked doorway. In our room the noise from traffic on the main highway was noticeable. However, the noise level abated after 10 p.m.
Big rooms, clean and well maintained grounds and huge pool. Shuttle to and from the centre of town.
Lack of tea making facilities in the room but there is room service. On their web site they indicated they had a snooker room and table tennis. These facilities have now gone.
Room size, pool, facilities, garden view and good breakfast
Everything was good with hotel
The garden is beautiful.
Mosquitos in the room.
Having been shown to my room, and been given two little pods for the coffee machine (what on earth was all that about?) I was then called by reception to say I had been given the wrong room and if I wanted to stay in it it would cost me 2000bht more. I asked to see the room I should have been given and it was awful, so I opted to stay in the allocated room. This was their error, not mine, and I feel very strongly that I should not have been charged this extra amount. I will be writing to the hotel about this. I asked if I could have some breakfast in the dinning room, they were still serving at the time, and I was told that my breakfast, included in the room rate, would only start from the following morning. I said I understood that and was willing to pay for that morning's breakfast - blank looks all round so no breakfast! The staff on reception have very poor English and whilst I agree we English speakers should not automatically expect people of other nations to be absolutely fluent (I could not have learned enough Thai in TWO days!) I do feel that when they are delaing with the general public hotel staff, especially, should not only be able to speak reasonable English but their comprehension should be good too. This hotel must have gem buyers from aall over the world staying here as it is the nearest to the centre of Chanthaburi (BUT far from being 'in the heart of Chanthaburi' as it is decribed it is a good 7-10 minute drive out of the centre) so it is very important that the staff have good comprehension. For instance - I called them, on my UK mobile, to ask for the shuttle bus to pick me up at the post office in Chanthaburi centre - they sent it to the bus station. I waited for more than three quarters of an hour in the blistering heat and only after calling them again did the vehicle finally arrive. Not one word of apology...
Close to main road from Bangkok.
Extremely bad service. The reception was supposed to order a minibus for us (4 people + a lot of luggage), but ordered a normal car without enough space. Without appologies the staff ordered a minivan that costed more, but insisted that we had to pay. Food expensive and boring. Wifi not working within our room.
The price of the food and drink in the restaurant is much cheaper than in Bangkok hotels. The room size is big, can get another bed inside, bath room is clean and nice although the hotel is a bit old but since the floor is made of tiles, so it is clean without bad smells. Swimming pool is large, gym is large,.... I personally like it, but it is 2.5 hr away from airport, and cost 4000Thai Bath to get there, but I got a friend who knows the taxi driver, so it costed me 2500 for one way. I like it for it is not that busy as in Bangkok.
The room was large and nice. Outside the room a nice park with a small lake. The bathroom was nice. There are two swimming pools, a small one for kids or non-swimmers, and a large one for adults or swimmers. The breakfast buffet is nice with a good selection of Asian food and a good selection of western food. The staff will make an omelette or pancakes with honey for you, if you ask for it.
When we booked, we asked for a double room with a king size bed. When we arrived, they gave us a twin room with two queen size beds. We were told that all the double rooms with a king size bed were already booked by others.
The shuttle service was very convenient and available 24 hours.Excellent pool and other facilities.Good meals.Quiet location.Good value and service.
great swimming pool, clean
too big, too impersonal. It's looks like it's just an hotel where poeple who buy precious stone in the market come. Staff doesn't speak english very well.. too expensive for what it is!
I had to do a visa run to Cambodia and stay a night opon my return to Thailand with my wife and son. The hotel we booked via Booked.net was a good hotel for our needs.
